Tuesday, Oct. 31 - Book Character Day or wear Fall festive wear. Dress up as a Book Character with Positive character strengths.

PTA Events: 

A BIG Boosterthon Thank You!

Thank you to our NRE family, friends and donors for your amazing support and donations to the Boosterthon this year!  We were able to meet and succeed our goal and we look forward to using those funds to enrich the NRE community.  Mr. Shillings and Ms. Heyward have promised the students a LipSync Battle for their hard work! The LipSync battle will take place on November 21st at 2:00. It will be live streamed and recorded for the students and staff. Ms. Heyward is debating on who she will be performing as Mr. Shillings will be performing Justin Beiber. We will be getting feedback from students on which 2 songs to perform. More information to come on the video link.

Social Emotional Learning Support 

At North Ridge Elementary, all of our classes will begin using WCPSS provided Second Step program that the teachers will use to discuss different character traits throughout the week. This week's focus is having a growth mindset. Individual grade levels will share information via Talking Points.

Congratulations North Ridge Families!!!! We had a fantastic Fun Run this morning/afternoon. We had a few hiccups with some bumps and bruises and a little bit of rain. We reached our goal and Ms. Heyward and I will be competing in a LipSync Battle Soon. We will be getting feedback from students on which artist and song we should chose. Thank you all for your donations and support for this event!!!

Spirit Night at Bad Daddy's Burger Bar

Please join us for our first Spirit Night of the year at Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar. Wednesday October 18th from 4:00 until close grab dinner and help raise money for our school! Please be sure to mention NRE when ordering and they will donate 15% of the sales to our school. Enjoy a delicious dinner in the restaurant or take it to go and help support NRE!! Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar is located in the Olive Park Shopping Center at 9402 Falls of Neuse Road.

Our outdoor movie night is back, save the date for Friday, October 13th. There will be a brief PTA Meeting followed by a showing of Disney’s Monsters Inc. Come hang with us, feel free to bring a picnic dinner and your lawn chairs and/or blankets. Movie concessions will be available for sale as well as our new spirit wear!
